LEARNING THROUGH LIVED EXPERIENCE
Book a Session for End the Stigma with Kiley Sutter
Built around lived experience, End the Stigma combines personal storytelling, mental health education, and messages of hope to challenge the silence and stigma that often surround mental health struggles.
Alongside lived experience, Kiley has an academic background in Psychology and Mental Health, allowing her to bring both personal perspective and psychological understanding to her presentations.
She uses her own story to address difficult subjects in a way that encourages audiences to reflect on their own mental health and how they support the people around them.
Presentations are designed to connect with audiences on a personal level while reinforcing a simple message: it’s okay to not be okay, and it’s okay to talk about it.
Speaking engagements can be tailored for schools and universities, workplaces, agricultural and rural communities, sports teams, conferences, community organizations, and other groups.
The primary learning goals of the presentation include:
Reduce Stigma: Challenge misconceptions surrounding mental health, chronic illness, suicide, and asking for help. ● Encourage
Open Conversations: Help audiences become more comfortable talking about difficult experiences rather than feeling they need to struggle silently.
Increase Mental Health Awareness: Build greater understanding of mental health challenges and the ways they can affect people even when those struggles are not visible to others.
Promote Help-Seeking: Reinforce that reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness, and encourage people to seek help when they are struggling.
Address Suicide Awareness: Create a conversation about suicide, suicidal thoughts, and the importance of recognizing when someone may need additional support.
Build Connection and Empathy: Encourage audiences to consider what others may be experiencing beneath the surface and how small acts of connection can make a meaningful difference.
Create Hope: Remind people that difficult chapters do not have to define the rest of their story and that asking for support can be the beginning of change.
Length: 40 minutes with time for questions and conversation.
Format: In-person
Cost: Sliding scale. There may also be costs for booking a venue, food/beverages, and travel for the facilitator.
