Connection to Agriculture
Alison takes a practical, client-centered approach focused on helping individuals navigate challenges in a way that feels manageable and grounded.
Her work draws from a range of therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, trauma-informed practice, equine therapy, and additional modalities such as DBT, ACT, and EFT.
She focuses on creating a supportive space where individuals can work through what they’re experiencing and build strategies that fit their real lives.
Alison has been actively supporting individuals in rural and agricultural communities across Alberta since 2021.
She has delivered mental health presentations across the agricultural sector, working with farmers, producers, families, and community organizations. She is also connected with AgSafe and AgKnow and works as a farm-informed counsellor.
Her connection to agriculture is both personal and professional. Having grown up around farming communities and now living on a farm herself, she understands both the rewards and the pressures that come with the lifestyle.
