Connection to Agriculture
Mindy’s approach blends practical counselling with nervous system-based work.
She focuses on helping clients move out of survival mode and into a more regulated, resilient state, using tools that are simple, effective, and realistic to use day-to-day.
Her work draws from approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), trauma-informed practice, equine therapy, and additional methods such as LENS neurofeedback, HeartMath (biofeedback), and other nervous system regulation techniques.
She believes therapy should not feel complicated or long-term, but instead provide the right tools, awareness, and support to help people get back on track.
Having been raised on a farm in rural Alberta, Mindy brings both lived and professional experience in supporting agricultural communities.
She understands the long hours, financial uncertainty, and sense of responsibility that come with farm life, as well as the isolation and high expectations that can make it difficult to prioritize personal well-being.
Her work is grounded in helping people find practical ways to care for themselves while continuing to manage the demands of farm and family life.
