Supporting the 2025 Woolliams Farms Charity Golf Classic
With so much to do, it's easy to overlook the mental health benefits of taking a break, being in nature, and connecting with your peers.
Last week, I participated in the 2025 Woolliams Farms Charity Golf Classic at Bearspaw Golf Club in Calgary to support farmer mental health, and did so as a player rather than a researcher so I could connect better with the group I'm so passionate about helping!
Many thanks to the hosts, Larry and Kortney Woolliams, and their amazing team including Jenna Richter (pictured below, both in our Wonder Woman outfits to support the superhero theme) for organizing this meaningful event. This is an incredible start to supporting local farmers, ranchers, and rural community as a whole in addressing healthcare accessibility and essential resources in Rocky View County.
