Farmer Mental Health & the Alberta SPCA Project

Collaborating with the Alberta SPCA to support farmers and Peace Officers

After receiving funding from the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation through the Sustainable Canadian Agriculture Partnership grant program, we're collaborating with the Alberta SPCA to support their Peace Officers who have found themselves being dispatched more often to rural, farming properties.

Together, we're in the process of developing an Early Warning Checklist Tool to complement the work officers do when working with farmers who may need support.
